|We’ve received a number of exciting presentation proposals so far, but there’s still room in the program for more! Don’t miss the June 15 deadline to submit your abstract for consideration.
The scientific program will consist of three types of sessions: Symposia (oral presentations organized by a topic of interest); Contributed Oral Presentation (grouped into sessions by topic); and Poster Presentations.
In addition to Fisheries and Wildlife technical sessions, presentations will also include the following tracks: Marketing, R3 & Communications; Administration & Business; IT/Licensing; Law Enforcement; and Legal disciplines.
Timeline for Deliverables
Deadline to submit all abstracts (individual speakers within a symposium, general oral, posters, and peer reviewed papers): June 15, 2017.
Deadline to submit peer-reviewed MANUSCRIPTS: June 30, 2017.
Notifications of acceptance will be sent early August, and the schedule will be posted online mid-August.
Please submit an abstract only if you plan to attend the meeting. All presenters, whether presenting in a symposium, oral, or poster session, are required to register and pay the applicable fees. Deadline for presenters to register: September 1, 2017.
Eight special symposia will be included as part of the technical program at the 2017 SEAFWA Annual Conference; they will run concurrently with other technical sessions. Five of the symposia are “open” meaning they are accepting proposals for technical presentations through the regular call for presentations. Three are “invite only” meaning the organizers will invite specific people to present as part of the symposium. All technical presentations within a special symposium, including those that have been invited, need to submit abstracts through the online call for papers portal. Read their overviews.
