This fishery is considered one of the top tarpon destinations in the world, with most fish in the 50-100 pound range, although fish exceeding 150 pounds are not uncommon. March is prime time for big tarpon! Plus, if you want, you can add an off-shore excursion for pelagic species – at your own expense of course! You will be guided by one of Puerto Rico’s five top captains, each with at least 20 years of experience, while staying right on the water at Tarpon’s Nest Lodge.
